United Nations and Sony hacked by Turkish cracker in support of the Muslim cyber-jihad

15/08/2006 Written by Roberto Preatoni

unA few hours after the United Nations voted the resolution for the Lebanon peace keeping forces, the United Nation and Sony Philippines websites have been compromised by Turskish attackers Eno7, apparently in protest for the current Middle-East situation.

In the same defacements it is also announced an international crackers coalition featuring, for the first time ever, crackers from Cuba.

Mirror of the defaced site can be viewed here

The website has been defaced on a secondary page (currently under reconstruction), a typical Turkish logo appearing on the page followed by an English language statement (a bit sluggish as usual) reporting a political statement…

A SPECIAL ATTENTION FOR THE UNITED NATIONS

Until that time you just watched the civil and innocent people who are dying in Iraq , Palestina and Africa. Israel hit the Lebanon , destroyed the childeren and hit down the towers of UN. The supporter Israel challenges to the world and we are asking what your mission is in this bleeding world, you UNITED NATIONS.You are not connecting civilizations just connecting your advantages. We are not your toys..

If your democracy and your human rights are these so we came here to teach you the civilization and the correct human rights. We are AYYILDIZ TIM the childeren of Republic of Turkey.

REST OF THAT

either INDEPENDENCE or DEATH

neutrality just not exist in the face of murder, doing nothing to stop this is in fact to choosing,it is not be neutral.

The website, running on NetBSD with Apache has been probably compromised through a CMS or SQL injection bug as it is mostly happening in the recent times. Attackers reported “administrative password stealing/sniffing” as attack methodology. Zone-H is currently not in the position to confirm it or not.

This is not the first time Turkish crackers attack profiled targets with political motivations, since the war in Lebanon started we accounted thenth of thousands of such attacks, mostly performed by Turkish attackers but also by Iranian, Indonesian, Pakistani, Saudi Arabian, Sirian, Moroccan and Algerian.

gasAnother victim of cracker’s actions is Sony Philippines website, once again attacked by eno7. In the posted message the attacker is blaming US, UK and Israel leaders for the current happenings. The attacker posted also a quite self-explanatory picture, portraiting a gas pump pointed like a gun at one child’s head.

In the same defacement, attackers announced that a massive cyberprotest is currently being organized by a coalitiion of crackers from Chile, Argentina, Mexico, Turkey, Germany, Dominican Republic, Peru, Spain, Venezuela, Guatemala and for the first time ever by Cuban crackers (!) as reported by the scheme posted below

UPDATE: seems other cracker managed to break in the UN.org site (this time clearly by SQL injection means) as well as eno7 managed to break through more well known sites.
